Listen to people. Listening is a quality that a lot of people no longer value, but remember that there are people in your company or organization who have good ideas. Show that you are willing to hear from others, and they will feel appreciated. That is something a good leader can do.
Be aware that there is always more to learn. Just because you are leading a team does not mean you know everything there is to know. Be willing to learn from others, including the rest of your team. They will appreciate the chance to show their own skills, and you will learn new things.
Be a role model to others. Your title is just a bunch of words, so do not think this makes you special. Be kind and you will get kindness in return. No one wants to work for a hypocrite. Be someone your subordinates can respect.

If someone in your organization does something exemplary, take the time to recognize their effort. It doesn’t need to be anything more than a simple “good job”!
